Got to sing is a singing competition in Belfast held at the Whitefort on Friday Night and yes the Truly Smitten Girls are taking part! This is now coming up to week three and the girls have been sailing through and have been enjoying every minute of it! Join the Girls at the Whitefort this Saturday at half 8 for Guilty Pleasures week and watch them perform their Guily Pleasure...oh I wonder what it could be?? There's Just something about the Truly Smitten Girls

There's just something about the Truly Smitten girls as a whole that fascinates me that makes me want to look a bit deeper and share with you just how special this group really is! Seeing Truly Smitten you automatically feel at home, its like sitting with your sisters, a bond so strong that cannot be torn apart. What is it about them that makes Truly Smitten so unique and special? Well I think its not only the bond but the similar and amazing personalities within the group. Although I see them like sisters I see Cathy as a Mother figure; leading them, protecting them and just being there for them; although they are all there for each other. Heres a Bit about the members: Cathy The Small one, I know right away she wont be offended by this as she takes her height in her stride and is just amazing, caring and very very hyper and fun! Amy Where to Start, shes one of the very first members along with Cathy and has stood by her side through it all. She's an extremely talented singer, they all are but theres something about her voice. She's one Crazy lady and knows how to have a good time. Ellie The quieter one...but that doesnt stop her from being pretty crazy at times too. Shes extremely kind and polite and would talk to anyone so she'd definetely have a conversation with you if you bumped into her, she describes herself as very fun, loving, caring, girly, casual, craaaazy ( all of us are completely nuts) and just enjoy life, I've had my fair few difficulties in life that I live by each day being your last, be happy and enjoy yourself Naomi She has a brillant laugh :) She's so friendly and is always making sure everyone she loves is ok. What can I say these Girls are amazing, they're that something different, theyre determined to succeed. Amy believes that "without struggle there is no progress" and the other girls share this outlook, believing that without working hard they will not achieve their dream! Truly Smitten: That Something Different; Just Soaring to Achieve!

Soaring in and hitting the Streets is the newest local Girl band from Northern Ireland, Truly Smitten featuring Amy, Cathy, Ellie and Naomi. After interviewing the girls I had just one question to sum up Truly Smitten, Just how did Truly Smitten come about? Cathy’s Mum Anne has always been a dedicated follower and manages the Girls, she created the name Smitten to beginning with, as the Girls are really, well Smitten. But it was her dad that just felt Truly Smitten summed them up to a Tee and as Cathy clearly puts it was Just the Icing on the Cake! The Girls all have this strong work ethic and ambitions to soar high to hit London then the USA and aim big! It’s amazing how having the same ambitions and dreams can get them so far and create this closeness and bond. So what is Truly Smitten all about? Amy had this to say: “the band has a strong foundation of positivity and motivated, dedicated girls which is exactly the recipe for us to be successful. We are super excited for all big things this year we have developed very well and we are great friends too. Truly Smitten began as a Duo with Amy and Cathy and has now expanded to a quartet and Ellie has this to say: me and Naomi have only joined truly smitten recently but we all have an amazing friendship it’s literally like we've known each other for years! We get on so well and are honest with each other, we all have the same ambition, we know we're we want to be, and we're all determined to make it! :) We all have our own little quirky personalities and differences but come together so well! I love spending time with the girls, we can hang out and be all silly and also work hard at our music. This really is a band hoping to fly far; oh “We covered wings!” The band is strengthened by “Understanding life isn't perfect, and if I try, I know it will be worth it, Mistakes are a path of discovery, and you’re in the way of the path to recovery.” These lyrics written by the group are Truly Smitten, an inspiration to follow, to better one’s life, to create a Truly Smitten experience. So it’s this closeness, this sense of dedication and true friendship that Truly Smitten is all about, I certainly enjoyed talking to the Girls and seeing Truly Smitten come alive. So what’s coming up for Truly Smitten?Well what they did tell me is they have a few gigs lined up and are very excited!!
